Sean Garretson Design is a graphic design studio based in Shelton, Connecticut. My work is guided by the belief that successful design is evaluating a project, determining a strategy, and creating an effective, compelling solution. I thrive on solving design challenges, taking great pride in my work, and creating visual solutions for any scope or medium with insight, talent, and imagination. I’m passionate about creating ideas that function effectively and producing solutions that are both appropriate and memorable.
As a creative director with over 25 years of experience, I use strategic design informed by my head, heart, and instincts, to help businesses produce design communications that people notice and love. Approaching my work and life with an insatiable curiosity, I’m always questioning to see how I can create a real impact with my designs.
I have been responsible for overseeing projects for distinguished brands such as Coca-Cola, Alliance Capital, Barnard College, Schindler Elevator Corporation, PepsiCo, IBM, and Swiss Re.
Strategy and Design
Every project begins with research and analysis, working with you to distill the project objectives into a clear strategic brief. Bringing the brief to life by creating a voice with copywriting, color, typography, illustration, and photography. All the elements combine to create something truly special. Working closely with you, continuing to finesse the work, discussing, testing and experimenting, to arrive at the strongest final result.
